Arduino - Setup and First Program

hello friends,
welcome again to another post about Arduino you have already seen the concept of Arduino in my previous post. now in this post, you will see how to setup Arduino board, downloading the Arduino software and running your first program.

What You Need?
     for this tutorial you need
1.Arduino Board.-
2.USB cable.
3.PC with Internet connection.
     That's all you need to setup and run your first program using Arduino.

1.downloading Arduino software-

• for downloading the Arduino software open www.arduino.cc in your browser.

• from the main menu click on software.

• now click on windows installer or zip file for non-admin install in download ide option.

• now select the download location, and click on save.
• now open the downloaded file and click on run.
• install the Arduino software.

2.Connecting Arduino board to your computer.

    gather the Arduino board and USB cable.

• connect Your Arduino board to the computer with the help of USB cable.
• the computer will automatically install the Driver Software, if not install the Arduino driver software manually.

3.Setting up Arduino IDE.

• open the Arduino IDE.
• Click on the tools.

• now click on boards option and select your board from the list.

• now select the port option and select the port to which your Arduino is connected.

          all set, now you are ready to program your first Arduino program.

4.programming your Arduino.
     
               now you are ready to write your first program and upload it to the Arduino board.

• open the Arduino IDE.
• write your program.
• compile your program.
• upload your program.
